Exchanges and Returns
We want you to be completely satisfied with the quality of our products. If you want to return an item, mail items in good condition within 60 days of the date of purchase (include a copy of the packing slip.) to:

Clean the item well (especially cushions), repack neatly with its brochures, boxes, etc., and ship at the surface rate prepaid and insured (we cannot be repsonsible for uninsured items). Please note that we cannot accept returns of DVDs or incense. T-shirts, Samues and Thai Fishermen Pants should be in new and unworn condition.
Let us know whether you want a refund, exchange, or credit, and why you are not satisfied with the product so that we can improve our service to you. We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if it is damaged or altered, and to charge a 10% restocking fee for large items such as zafu/zabuton sets and temple gongs. If we sent you an item by mistake, or if it was defective or damaged, we will reimburse your return shipping cost and offer an exchange or full refund. Shipping and Handling
We ship most items via Federal Express Ground Service. Your products will arrive at their destination in about 2 weeks, depending on the shipping location. If you need a delivery by a specific date, please call us at 845-688-7993 and speak with our staff.
Shipping charges are 10% of the order total plus a $5 handling charge.
New York residents pay a 8% sales tax.
Please note that when using debit cards, your bank may set aside the necessary funds to cover the order for a period of up to five days. The Monastery Store does not collect payment until the order has shipped.
For international credit card orders, shipping charges will be based on the actual postage plus a $5.00 handling charge. International orders may take 3 weeks or longer to arrive, depending on the country and shipping method.
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs offices may sometimes hold shipments indefinitely; you should contact your local customs office for further information.
