Taido is Japanese for "Great Way," another pronunciation of Daido, the dharma name of our founder, John Daido Loori, Roshi.

The other name for this incense is Kaden Kobunboku. Meaning "old family secret," Kaden is a masterpiece carefully prepared by blending twenty kinds of natural fragrances, including the increasingly rare natural Tsukigase Aloeswood and Sandalwood, according to a secret family recipe. Kaden Kobunboku is very popular due to a warm, smooth, bitter-sweet fragrance perfect for meditation.

This powerful and full-bodied Japanese incense is as deep and steady as the Esopus River that flows past our Monastery.

Each box contains 90 short sticks with 25-minute burn time.

Also available as part of our Zen Signature Sampler.
