Hand Made Clay Water Offering Bowls
Part of our Tenkozan: Made on the Mountain collection, these offering bowls are made in the Monastery Clay Studio. "Pinch Bowl" style, these bowls have a WABI SABI look, and will vary in size and shape. Made by monastery residents and students, each carries the finger marks of the maker. As they are non-toxic and vitreous, they can be used for water or food offerings, or as a small incense bowl. These high fire glazes are made with ash from the monastery incense bowls and hearths, and clay from Mount Tremper [Tenkozan], so you can have a bit of the mountain and the Monastery on your altar. "Mountain Ash" glaze is Hojin Sensei's signature formulation.
