Organic Linen Napkin Set: Tenkozan Dyes, Shibori
Tenkozan: Made on the Mountain collection from the Monastery Stitchery and Dye Studio.
These Linen napkins are unique works of art from the monastics and residents who work in the Monastery Dye Studio and Stitchery. Using traditional Japanese Shibori technique, a manual resist dying technique of tying, sewing or folding and clamping which produces a number of different patterns on fabric, the material is dyed with the natural plant dyes we grow in the Monastery Dye Garden.
Set of [4] Four Napkins are approximately 12-14" square each. The size of each set may vary slightly. Each napkin has a sewn in tag with the Mountains and Rivers Chop logo. We invite you to appreciate the variations in the dye color as a reminder of the human touch.
