In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, skull bead malas are thought to afford protection to the wearer. As reminders of impermanence, they are also used to cultivate wisdom.
The beads are hand-carved from re-purposed cow bone fragments.
Beads are approx 7/16" long x 3/8" diameter. With a skull guru bead and red tassel. Updated design, approximate total beaded length 50".
