Known as "dragon’s blood", the dark red gum resin from the Dracaena genus of succulent shrubs was used by Ancient Greeks, Romans and Arabs for its medicinal properties: a kind of "cure all". Dragon tree resin, is thought to have been responsible for the intense color of Stradivarius violins. This resin has long been used by natives in south- east Asia for clearing negative energy, and to instill confidence and courage.
The red wood has a subtle glow in sunlight. 108 1/4" beads plus "guru" bead.
