Also called "olibanum," frankincense has a dry, woody aroma with hints of pine and lemon. Frankincense has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine since 500 B.C., and also dates back to the Babylonians who used it both in religious ritual and in healing salves.
This particular brand of incense has a sandalwood base, as is common in Japanese incense, and was made especially for a western market.
A Zen Mountain Monastery favorite.
