This unique statue depicts Kuan Yin (Kannon in Japanese, Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit) in the royal ease pose. One foot suggests meditative equipoise while the other seems ready to stand and get on with acts of compassion. The right hand is in the karana mudra, dispelling evil, anxiety, fear and negativity. The left hand is in a grounding mudra, making contact with the body.
Made from a resin mold with a sandstone finish, this is certainly unlike any of the other statues we carry.
