Fukusa are an essential aspect of Japanese tea ceremony, used to purify the tea scoop and tea caddy. Our Tenkozan dye studio and stitchery decided to make a few for the discerning tea practitioner. Dyed with flowers and other organic material from our own gardens, each fukusa is 7 x 7.5" and made with organic hemp silk.
The coral colored fukusa are made from madder. The more purple colored fukusa are made from madder and logwood.
