Hand Made Clay Vase
Part of our Tenkozan: Made on the Mountain collection, these vases are made in the Monastery Clay Studio. They have a WABI SABI look, and will vary slightly in size and shape. Made by monastery residents and students, each carries the finger marks of the maker. They are non-toxic and vitreous, and can be used for flower offerings on your altar or as a holder for an open roll of incense, The high fire glazes are made with ash from the monastery incense bowls and hearths, and clay from Mount Tremper [Tenkozan], so you can have a bit of the mountain and the Monastery on your altar. "Mountain Ash" glaze is Hojin Sensei's signature formulation.
