This unique travel altar is beautifully handcrafted by a local master-woodworker who makes each altar out of two solid pieces of polished hardwood. The inside recesses for the altar image and incense now have rounded corners, and we've made the area for holding incense larger to be able to accommodate more sticks of incense. Enso brand on lid; Mountains & Rivers Order chop brand on the base. Brass hinges; earth magnet closure.
4 1/2” long x 1 3/8” wide x 1 1/4” high when closed. Incense sticks not included.
Please choose Terracotta Buddha with cherry wood, Kannon Bodhisattva with maplewood, or Blue Buddha with white oak.
I have had this on my "to buy" list for several years, and I finally took the plunge. I am so very glad that I did! When closed, the lid is held down with a nicely firm magnet, so that the top does not fly open by accident and spill sticks of incense all over. I take my Blue Medicine Buddha travel altar with me to work every day. Many of my coworkers ask about it, what it is, and what it means to me. This gives me the opportunity to spread the light of Buddhadarma. The finish of this wooden altar is very, very good. The pieces fit together perfectly and everything is as smooth as a riverstone. It is obvious that care and devotion went into the creation of this altar
